Backgrounds/Introduction: A commercial bus driver, Mr. Christian popularly known as “Biggie” was on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 killed in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital by one Mr. Patrick Igwe, an official of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) attached to the Rivers State Task Force on Street Trading and Illegal Motor Parks in the process of the task force confiscating the driver’s bus for allegedly discharging passenger at an unauthorized place. This incident was witnessed by the Executive Director of Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC), Fyneface Dumnamene Fyneface by few minutes to 2PM while returning from a live radio program on Nigeria Info, 92.3FM, Port Harcourt. The incident of the killing of the bus driver by the task force reminded YEAC’s Director of similar incident involving an Advocacy Centre’s staff that was almost killed by the same taskforce at Garrison junction on January 25, 2021 and the argument that ensured between YEAC and Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi, Special Assistant to the Governor and Chairman of the task force which ended in deadlock because the Chairman denied the incident, claiming that we could not quote the taskforce vehicle number, zone of operation and operational number written on the Hilux Van among others. Thus, Mr. Fyneface did a text message to Mr. Felix and the messages below are what transpired. Note that when the task force Chairman/public office holder responded to the text sent to him with insults that “God will punish you and your father if at all you have“, he was told by Mr. Fyneface that he was going to publish his response and he said “Mr Fyneface, should you make my reply public without making yours public, you shall not escape the anger of wrath of God“, he was told that their both discussions would be made public as he also requested for equity and fairness and this publication is in fulfilment of that request by the public officeholder. Happy reading;

Fyneface: “Good evening Mr. Felix. I hope your work is going well. I was returning from a live radio program on Nigeria Info, 92.3FM by few minutes to 2PM today and witnessed the killing of a bus driver, “BIGGY” by your taskforce and NSCDC officer attached to them today opposite NNPC Filling Station, near NTA junction, Mgboba. I think neither you nor your taskforce will deny this incident like you denied and treated my staff that your taskforce chased vehicle to hit down and shattered his leg on January 28 and his is still on sick bed till today and cannot walk. As the chairman of this taskforce, all the atrocities they commit and blood of citizens that they’re spilling in this State will definitely be on your head and God will ask you of those blood some day.
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “God will punish you and your father if at all you have“.
Fyneface: “Good to hear this from you as a public officer and SA to the Governor. I wish you well and I think it is time to join other people and embark on public advocacy against you so that the Governor can sack you from that job and end killings by your taskforce. I will make this your reply public. Thank and good night Mr. Taskforce Chairman”
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “Please, go ahead. You will go for thanksgiving if you achieve your aim positively but if reverse should be the case, you will commit suicide for fighting someone who did nothing to you“
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “Mr Fyneface, should you make my reply public without making yours public, you shall not escape the anger of wrath of God”.
Fyneface: “Don’t worry Mr. Chairman Sir. I thought you were reasonable and remorseful enough as a public officer and Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, POS Africa that is being paid with public/tax payers money and knew how to address and deal with members of the public in line with the policies, mission and vision of the NEW RIVERS STATE especially after unwanted incident and after you have killed people in the State through your taskforce which is NOT part of your mandate that I know of that the Governor gave you while swearing you in as Taskforce Chairman. I have screenshot your replies and comments for public advocacy and will send same to the Governor whom you serve as a Special Assistant. I take your comments and outbursts as threats and a challenge and would report same to the Commissioner of Police for record purposes as the music begins for us to publicly examine your service to the State and its residents since your appointment and assumption of office as Chairman of Taskforce on Illegal Trading and Motor Parks. I urge you to seek advise from Bright Amawhule, your predecessor, on how he piloted the affairs of the taskforce, why he was sacked and the taskforce disbanded by the Governor. His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike brought you on board, thinking you’re an experienced retired Police Officer to remedy the situation regarding the taskforce but you’ve now proving to be worse than Bright Amewhule, killed more people and discrediting the Governor who trusted you before the public and I do not think that the Governor and Rivers people will take this from you ANYMORE, henceforth. The Governor is working for a better Rivers State and you are maiming, harassing, violating Hunan rights and even killing people through your taskforce to paint both the Governor and our dear Rivers State black before the Nigerian public and international community. So sad bro!”
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “I am unreasonable but more reasonable than your father. I am waiting for you“
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “If I have hand in what you are saying, the condition of the young man you sent his picture to me should be Christmas to the one that will befall me. But if not, whatever you wish me shall reach you and your generation“
Rivers Task Force Chairman, Mr. Felix Nwadibeyi: “Mr Fyneface, no matter how unreasonable I am, I do know that I am more reasonable than your father. I am waiting for you“.
