Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) was on Thursday, March 17, 2022 invited by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator (Dr.) Ita Inang to participate in the second summit for the integration of Artisanal Petroleum Refineries in to the National Economy.

It would be recalled that the government also organized similar meeting in Abuja on March 16 and 17th 2021 and ADVOCACY CENTRE being the National Facilitator of Project with Artisanal Crude Oil Refiners (PACOR) for Modular Refineries in the Niger Delta also invited and the organization participated actively.

The latest event which holds in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 will have members of Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre’s (YEAC) Modular Refinery Multipurpose Co-operative Societies from Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom and Delta States in attendance.

The Executive Director of YEAC, Fyneface Dumnamene Fyneface will speak and address the event, detailing the journey so far on the PACOR advocacy and further push for the establishment of Presidential Artisanal Crude Oil Refining Development Initiative (PACORDI) as one of the ways of addressing the menace of artisanal refining in the Niger Delta.

Advocacy Centre will keep its members and other members of the public posted on the event, during and after.
