The Nigeria Foundation for the Support of Victims of Terrorism (Victims Support Fund) partners with Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) for the distribution of food stuff and other materials to the needy and vulnerable ones as part of COVID-19 interventions in Rivers State. The project which is the VSF COVID-19 Phase IV distribution Implementation in selected local government areas in Rivers State was signed sealed between VSF and YEAC on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 with Reference: VSF-PROG- COV-19-IV-CSO/2022/07/005)”.

Under the partnership agreement, YEAC will received the items from VSF and the needy after conducting advocacy visits to ward/community heads for creating enabling environment, mapping the communities to identify indigent households (liaise with the relevant government MDAs to forestall duplication of efforts), identifying communities where there is a vulnerable population and select eligible households/beneficiaries for the COVID-19 intervention and conduct beneficiary verification (and hand over the beneficiary vouchers) before distribution of the items, to validate the selected beneficiaries, and Issue identification codes/numbers to the selected beneficiaries. Other roles of YEAC under the partnership include carrying out an equitable distribution of the food/non-food items to the eligible selected beneficiaries, collating biometric capture data capture and populate data of all beneficiaries in a provided template for onward upload to the VSF database, conduct exit interviews, compiling and submitting a comprehensive report of the distribution activities to VSF.
