Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) Nigeria distributed food items donated by Victims Support Fund (VSF) to vulnerable households and indigent persons in Rivers State. 

On receiving the food stuffs from the warehouse on the 27th of September 2022, plans were made on how to commence the advocacy visits in order to start mapping communities and persons to benefit immediately. The Advocacy Visit commenced 3 days after on 1st October 2022 and the 3rd of October respectively. Despite the public holidays that our office was not opened for work, we still went to the field for the work to ensure timely distribution of the items to beneficiaries. Visits were made to the three communities with YEAC-NIGERIA created tally given to beneficiaries mapped so that they can present it on food items collection date. The Distribution was done for three days in the three communities-GBE, UEKEN and KABANGHA in Gokana, Tai and Khana Local Government Areas. The intervention which consists of 250 bags of rice, garri, beans, salt and groundnut oil was able to meet the appropriate target beneficiaries which cut across the aged, widows and people with disabilities.
