Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC-Nigeria) on Tuesday, August 8 participated in the “Petroleum Community Engagement to understand the 3% Opex, their sustainable development and Participatory Rights as contained in the petroleum industry act (PIA) 2021” organized by Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission in partnership with the Rivers state Government held at the Dr. Obi Wali International Conference Centre, along Chief G. U. Ale road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The event which was a sensitization engagement had participants from the communities in Rivers Rivers including oil companies’ representatives, government officials, civil society organizations and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara represented by the commissioner for Youth affairs, Hon Chisom Kenneth Gbali among others in attendance.

YEAC-Nigeria was represented at the event by its Research and Development Officer, Frank Nornubari.
