HOMEF Director, Nnimmo Bassey Visits Advocacy Centre
The Director of Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF), Rev. Nnimmo Bassey on Friday, March 11 visited the head office of Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. The visit which was the first by Comrade Nnimmo Bassey to Advocacy Centre was to enable the HOMEF director interact with the staff of YEAC and familiarize himself more with our programmes, projects, activities and further guide on the best ways necessary for these activities to impact more on the people, the environment and the society. The Executive Director of YEAC, Fyneface Dumnamene Fyneface explained and took the HOMEF Director through a graphical tour of the works, programmes and activities of the organization including those those on environment, climate change, youths, One Million Youth Volunteers Network of Human Rights Defenders and Promoters in the Niger Delta as well as project on clean and renewable energy among others. The event was also used for the inauguration and presentation of certificate to the YEAC “Women and Girls’ Rights Advocacy Ambassador”. The Executive Director of YEAC, Fyneface Dumnamene expressed appreciation to the HOMEF Director and its team for the visit which will further strengthened existing relationships and collaborations between HOMEF and its mentor organization, YEAC.
