INVITATION TO MODULAR REFINERY INVESTORS’ WORKSHOP WITH FOREIGN TECHNICAL PARTNERS AND REQUEST FOR COLLABORATION/SPONSORSHIP
ADVOCACY CENTRE PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT //// MAY 4, 2021
INVITATION TO MODULAR REFINERY INVESTORS’ WORKSHOP WITH FOREIGN TECHNICAL PARTNERS AND REQUEST FOR COLLABORATION/SPONSORSHIP
Recall that in our February 25, 2021 publication, titled “FORMATION OF COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES ON MODULAR REFINERIES FOR ARTISANAL REFINERS IN THE NIGER DELTA”, Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) announced plans to organize an investment workshop “…with foreign development and technical partners from the United Kingdom engaged to also co-fund and build the Modular Refineries for artisanal refiners in the Niger Delta”. As such, Advocacy Centre hereby communicates and invites you to the Modular Refinery Investment Workshop being organized for interested investors and stakeholders as part of efforts to mobilize resources for alternative livelihood opportunities for artisanal crude oil refiners, youth empowerment and energy transition for a “Kpofire” pollution-free and sustainable environment in the Niger Delta.
As a nonprofit, we can’t “charge” intending participants but request for sponsorship/donations from those who believe in this advocacy to enable us organize the program. Thus, we hereby request for sponsorship, supports and generous donations from individuals, organizations, donor agencies, local and international development partners including intending participants and stakeholders to enable us fund the workshop and sensitize high-level stakeholders and prospective investors on all technicalities as well as what they need to know about investment in Modular Refineries, investment maturity, return-on-investment, etc.
It is against these backgrounds that we kindly request for a minimum donation of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000) from each interested donor/funder/sponsor/stakeholder. This amount and other expected donations and supports would enable us handle the workshop costs including venue hire, lunch for all participants, workshop materials, fare support, foreign facilitator’s consultancy fee, hotel accommodation, car hire and security escorts for both intra and inter-state movements among many others.
Interested sponsors can send their support/donation to us through Account Name: *Youths and Envt. Advocacy Centre*; Naira Account N0.: 1015421240 or USD Account N0.: 5070824190 with Zenith Bank Plc within *Fourteen (14)* working days starting from 4th to 26th May, 2021. After depositing or wiring the support, the donor/sponsor who is also willing to attend the workshop should text his/her full name, sex, donated amount, State of Residence and email address to 081-8444-2989 or e-mail the details to info@centreadvocacy.org for classification according to State of residence for workshop participation. From Monday, May 31, YEAC will start contacting the interested participants to give information about the date, time and venue of the workshop in their respective States holding in the month of June, 2021. The radio jingle can be listened to and downloaded here
*PLEASE NOTE*: That if those who expressed interest to participate in the investors’ workshop in a particular State are less than 50-60, YEAC may request participants in such State or States to participate in nearby States. For example, participants from Akwa-Ibom and Rivers States can be merged to participate in the workshop in Port Harcourt while those from Bayelsa and Delta States can be merged to participate in the 1-Day workshop in Yenagoa.
